Our client is a leading logistics services provider with a longstanding reputation for technical expertise and customized solutions. Currently in a growth phase, the company will continue building on a diverse customer base, serving a mix of clients large and mid-sized across the industrial spectrum. The General Manager is responsible for leading a team of four managers and 20 to 30 indirect reports, who share a commitment to excellence in client service. The mandate is to manage strategic development and day-to-day operations within Ontario and Quebec along with training and coaching the team to continue building the business.
Oversee all strategic and tactical planning to develop and implement value-added solutions geared toward client growth and retention.
Develop new business opportunities, drive customer service and process improvements; establish and maintain effective relationships with outside vendors, etc.
Support and enhance a high standard of business values and ethics by providing mentorship to the professional development of employees.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of logistics trends and developments to improve client experience.
10+ years’ leadership experience in a 3PL environment.
The proven ability to effectively develop and motivate a team to optimize operations.
Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
Expertise in planning, budgeting, forecasting and evaluating market opportunities based on data and analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related discipline.
