Our client is a large Canadian manufacturer of municipal infra-structure, residential, industrial and commercial construction products sold throughout North America. With a positive corporate culture, long-standing customer relationships and significant investment in product innovation, expansion is ongoing. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & Innovation and working with the executive team and global parent stakeholders, the mandate to provide analytics, insights and recommendations in support of corporate development strategies with an emphasis on growth both organically and through M&A.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with key leaders of the company and affiliate companies to deliver on organic and M&A growth strategies. Apply and refine the processes and analytical frameworks for analyzing acquisition target opportunities, organic growth and initiatives related to innovation and digital transformation.

Research and assess the competitive landscape to identify new adjacent markets and key industry and technology trends; maintain a database of competitive information, market intelligence and market share information across segments; work with FP&A team in data driven modelling related to growth strategy recommendations.

Lead all pre/post-deal execution and integration activities.

Qualifications:

5+ years of corporate development/M&A experience leading complex transactions through initial assessment to close and integration.

Expertise in preparing strategy, financial, and operational presentations for the board and executive level.

Well networked within the investment banking community; outstanding financial and investment analysis skills in building complex strategic, valuation and acquisition models, to include pro-forma financials, growth and scenario models.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with business owners, private equity partners and executives; advanced knowledge of MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Bachelor’s Degree (post-graduate degree an asset)
