Our client is a large Canadian manufacturer with locations throughout North America and approximately 3000 employees. With a diverse range of integrated products sold across several market segments, this company relies on market expertise and best-in-class product innovation to leverage continued growth. Reporting to the President, the initial mandate is to lead a large project involving the construction and launch of a new 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility, followed by other complex projects of scale. The position is based in the Greater Toronto area and requires some travel to the US. Project Manage a cross-functional team of approximately 30 professionals to ensure the project is successfully delivered on time and on budget.
Use modern project management tools and best practices to develop detailed project plans and timelines based on management objectives.
Provide strategic and operational support to the project team; communicate project needs, objectives, risks and timing of critical milestones along with actionable deliverables to manage cross-functional interdependencies.
Track and analyze project metrics on resources, overdue tasks, critical milestones and costs and consolidate data to provide leadership with regular progress updates; post project review tracking and reporting.
10+ years of senior project management experience ideally within a structured PMO.
Experience working in industrial construction (i.e. a technical or manufacturing environment).
Proven track record of managing large ($100M+) cross-functional projects successfully.
Demonstrated expertise using modern project management methodologies and best practices.
Bachelor or Master’s degree, PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.
